Mindful Connections: The Science of Buddhism & Mental Health Wellbeing
Ever wondered if you could move a machine with just your mind?
Step into our Being Human Festival interactive installation and wear a lightweight EEG headband. As you calm your thoughts and sharpen your focus, the 'Mind Drone' responds directly to your brainwaves—lifting into the air to give you a breathtaking, real-time display of your own inner concentration.
Beyond this futuristic experience, we invite you to unwind with timeless mindfulness practices. Listen to the resonant hum of singing bowls, savour a quiet tea meditation, or simply follow the rhythm of your breath. These gentle techniques bring a sense of balance and clarity to our often-hectic daily lives and soothe our busy mind.
Presented by the Centre of Buddhist Studies, this project blends science with ancient wisdom to uncover practical paths to better mental health. Whether you are a curious explorer or an educator, discover how these mindful moments can unlock better focus—particularly for neurodivergent learners who may benefit from fresh ways to thrive in their studies.
Come, take a moment for your mind!
