Being Human Fizz Hub II: Outdoor Feast in Guangzhou
Extending the fermentation project, a fermentation-inspired gathering and exchange will take place at Mirrored Gardens in Panyu District, Guangzhou. This very special outdoors site captures the Fizz Hub’s spirit of creativity, community and conversation. Here, students, artists, and researchers will serve guests a feast based on their fermentation practices and ideas. We will investigate how reading and eating—as social and communal practices—produce and sustain culture, even over long distances. We invite you to explore how fermentation shapes our everyday life, and how preserving food is often a crucial part of preserving traditions.
14 November, 12:00 pm–6:00 pm, at Mirrored Gardens. The event costs HK$350, and attendees are responsible for making their own way to Guangzhou. Registration will open in October.
